The Virgin of Pilar has deep roots in Callosa de Segura, despite not being the patron saint, and is worshiped in a chapel nestled in the heart of the Sierra de Callosa, in the area known as La Pilarica. It is celebrated on 12 October, during the festival in honour of the Virgin of Pilar in the neighbourhood that bears the same name. The event takes place between "jota" songs and dances, and the most varied pyrotechnics are used for the celebration. Later on, already at night, the effigy of our Lady is returned to her dressing room in the temple.
