Wine and beans are two of the most typical products of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. This young festival is celebrated in the month of April, with the arrival of the harvest of this legume. The celebration discloses this traditional crop and products related to grape, to put them in value and deepen the knowledge of this crop and its properties. In this event, restorers, associations and neighbors are involved through exhibitions, shows, tapas fair, conferences, etc. The festival serves as a reference to know the traditional products of the municipality which, today, are still grown and developed. The Neighbourhood Association of Poble Nou de Benitachell actively participates in the festival with the contest of traditional wines, produced by farmers and local fans. In the contest, red and white wines based on local varieties such as Muscat and 'giró' participate.
