Family friendly trails in the province of Castellón

Some of the best family friendly trails in the Region of Valencia are in the province of Castellón, making it impossible to list them all. But we’re going to mention a few. Pull on your walking boots and set off on a discovery of Aín Castle, which is located in a pretty part of Sierra de Espadán Natural Park. You will love walking together through the cork trees

Another great option is to visit Desert de les Palmes Natural Park, walking a circular trail that starts at Les Santes chapel in the municipality of Cabanes. You can bring a picnic with you and eat it in the recreational area. The perfect plan for a day out.

Alternatively, make your way to Vila-real to visit the river Mijares and take an easy yet charming botanic trail. You will have the opportunity to see the medieval bridge of Santa Quiteria up close as well as a fantastic collection of plants and trees.

Family friendly trails in the province of Valencia

If you are looking for some great trails to do with the kids in the province of Valencia, you've got plenty to choose from. Here we’re going to detail three - though there are many, many more - which have diverse landscapes and points of interest.

Los Molinos Trail in Alborache is the perfect choice for a family outing. Once you’ve finished, you can wolf down your sandwich in the shade of the trees. Following the course of the river Buñol, this is an accessible trail that you can enjoy even with young children. Pushchairs and wheelchairs will have no problem with the terrain.

Our second family friendly trail in the province of Valencia is Los Charcos de Quesa where you will come across an old mill, a waterfall and lovely vegetation in any easy 3km trail.

And lastly, we would recommend Vuelta de la Hoz in Jérica, which will take you and the kids on an exploration of the bend in the river Palancia. The walk is an easy one flanking the river and there is a children’s playground along the way.

Family friendly trails in the province of Alicante

Of the countless trails for you to enjoy with the kids in the province of Alicante, we have chosen just three. We are going to start in L’Alfàs del Pi, which is home to an accessible and inclusive trail to El Albir Lighthouse. Walk it to see cliffs, caves, old mines and, of course, a beautiful lighthouse.

Our next stop is in Elche where you can explore El Clot de Galvany, an area of natural beauty where your little ones can marvel at the water birds in their natural habitat and then enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic area at the end of the trail.

And lastly, though there are many, many more family friendly trails in the Region of Valencia, we recommend making your way to Salada Lake in Las Lagunas de la Mata y Torrevieja Natural Park. This inclusive and accessible trail is further improved if you join a guided tour: come along to be taken aback by the scenery and the diverse wildlife.
