Here and Now
The Mediterranean awaits: discover what makes people return again and again.
Bring your kids to Mercat MICO, which has weekend shows, concerts, activities and entertainment the whole family can enjoy. Run by the Oropesa City Council, this “market” will take place all around town—bringing art, music, theatre, movies and other cultural events to Oropesa and its surrounding area.
*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we kindly ask that you call to confirm that these events have not changed. Thank you!
The one-of-a-kind Sufrida Calo isn’t your typical show—it’s not a concert, a theatrical production or a monologue—but it’s sure to make you laugh! The star of the show is Elena Lombao, who will be accompanied by Javier Vidal on guitar.

During the summer months, head to Oropesa and go on a real treasure hunt. (We’re not joking!) This FREE hunt starts in the Old Town, where participants will find clues that lead them to the treasure of Laura Cervellón. (This treasure is believed to have been hidden by the Counts of Cervellón to keep pirates from finding it.) Castellón Tourism has launched this initiative as a fun way for visiting families to learn about the history and culture of Oropesa.
Each tour runs an hour and a half. Reservations must be made by phone at least one week in advance.

The Region of Valencia’s own Melomans, an acapella quartet, is bringing a new show to town: “You Sing, But You Don’t Touch.” The performance will take place on October 11, during which the Melomans will put their own spin on popular, mainstream songs LIVE. Get excited! The Melomans are funny, talented and exciting to watch.
*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we kindly ask that you call to confirm that this show is still operating normally. Thank you!
Visit Tinença de Benifassà Natural Park and explore the wonderful municipality of Rossell. This treasured park sits just north of the province of Castellón and touches the municipalities of Rossell, Vallibona, Pobla de Benifassà and Castell de Cabres. Guided tours of the park introduce participants to Baix Maestrat, its beautiful natural surroundings and its heartwarming residents.
