What to see in La Llosa de Ranes
You'll love counting the fountains in La Llosa de Ranes town centre. Make sure you pause to admire its old public washing area! Known as the Font de la Glorieta washing area, it's a charming place to ponder on how people lived in our towns not so long ago.
Include a stop on your route at the Nativity of Our Lady Parish Church, a 19th-century temple. Look out for a tiny 18th-century treasure: the ceramic street altarpiece dedicated to Saint James, located on Doctor Cajal Street. It is part of a tradition that is very much our own, in which street façades are decorated with artistic ceramics, depicting religious themes or various trades.
The Calvario area, boasting the 18th-century Ermita del Cristo del Milagro chapel, is another spot you'll love to visit. And there's still more to do in Llosa de Ranes! We suggest a hiking route to a place with superb views: the mountain where the Ermita de Santa Ana chapel is located.
This church is located in La Llosa de Ranes, although it belongs to the neighbouring town of Xàtiva. From the summit where it stands, the views are stunning. Close to this spot are some old baths, now municipal, which have been converted into a recreational area. Perfect for enjoying the coolness of the vegetation and relaxing!
To round off your visit to La Llosa de Ranes, spend some time at the Casa del Pou museum. Here you will find a fascinating collection of objects related to the town’s everyday life, trades and history. Find out all about its festivals and identity. It is housed in a 19th-century building. You will love exploring this corner of Valencia!
