Come and visit a monument that paints an impressive picture with the sea in the background: Horadada Tower in Pilar de la Horadada.

Torre Horadada, Horadada Tower in Pilar de la Horadada, was built in the 16th century to monitor the sea waters. With its unique shape making it highly recognisable, it is one of the most iconic sights in this part of the province of Alicante and has been listed a Site of Cultural Interest.

Horadada Tower is a circular structure with a conical shape. Built of masonry, it is three storeys tall and the top is crowned with merlons. You’re sure to get some incredible photos.

The perfect way to see the unique outline of Horadada Tower is by taking an excursion to El Puerto and El Conde beaches as the tower is located between them. This stretch of the coast is an excellent place to unwind with a sea view and take a dip in the waters with the sight of the monument in the background.

To complement your visit, we’d recommend exploring El Río Seco Nature Area or soaking up some culture at the Gratiniano Baches Municipal Archaeological-Ethnological Museum. Here you will have the opportunity to find out more about the civilisations that once inhabited present-day Pilar de la Horadada through the objects in the museum collection. Come and visit Horadada Tower.
