There’s so much to do in Castelló de la Plana on the first day, it’s hard to know where to start. So let’s kick off the tour at Plaza Mayor, main square, where you’ll find Santa María la Mayor Church, which still boasts its grand Gothic doors. Right next door is the iconic El Fadrí bell tower, a true symbol of the city. Visit the landmark and explore what’s inside.

Other noteworthy landmarks include the 17th-century La Lonja del Cáñamo and the elegant Baroque palace, now the town hall. From here, you can meander to the Central Market and sample fresh produce and delicacies local to Castelló de la Plana.

Make your way to Ribalta Park for some downtime in the city’s green haven. Once you’ve recharged your batteries, head back into the bustling city to admire the architecture of the Post and Telegraph Building and the stately Main Theatre.
