Located in Aras de los Olmos, Iglesia Parroquial de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles Parish Church, is a place of worship that is well worth a visit. Built in the 16th century, the construction utilised parts of the pre-existing one and, as such, presents an interesting mix of styles. The incredible culture and heritage of the Region of Valencia’s inland destinations is reason in itself for a getaway.

If you gaze at Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles Parish Church from the outside, you will find both Romanesque and Renaissance elements as well as a large bell tower. When you step foot inside the church, you will see countless references to local traditions as well as sgraffito covering the walls and vaults. Keep looking for treasures in the interior and you will find an interesting 10th century Gothic cross and a number of sculptures that are the subject of worship.

Once you’ve visited the church, make your way to Santa Catalina Chapel, which is 5km from the centre and shrouded in legend. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the landscapes and history of this incredible part of the province of Valencia.
