Located in La Ribera Alta in the province of Valencia, Rafelguaraf is a small village with lovely streets lined with traditional houses. Come for a visit to soak up the sunny and peaceful atmosphere and discover the surprises the destination has up its sleeves.
What to do in Rafelguaraf
There’s no better place to start than by wandering around the winding streets of Rafelguaraf, where you will come across El Nacimiento del Señor Parish Church. You’re sure to find plenty of spots to photograph. Next, head to Tossalnou, a small hamlet where you can visit San José Parish Church. And then there’s the hamlet of Riurau.
Not far away is Berfull Walled Site. This old walled Moorish settlement sits in the midst of orange groves. The main entrance is via an arch topped with crenelations. Make sure you visit the chapel and the old manor house, which still has the noble coat of arms on the façade. You’ll be transported back in time!
The walls that you can see were built between the 16th and 17th centuries. The settlement is currently uninhabited.
In the natural areas surrounding Rafelguaraf you can embark on great hiking trails, for instance in Les Delicies, which has toilets and a picnic area, etc. You can also walk or cycle to other nearby villages like L’Énova. So what do you say?
