In Easter Week, Torrevieja is converted into the stage for the representation of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The fourteen fraternities participate in an active way in the processions that begin on Holy Thursday, the date that, at 11 at night, the only light that illuminates the municipality is that which comes from the candles of the Nazarenes. On Resurrection Sunday, the procession commences at eight in the morning when the image of La Inmaculada Concepción, in mourning, meets with the Holiest Sacramento.
