On the first weekend in May, Burriana places the May Crosses in its streets and squares. These are handmade by the fallero commissions, and contain ornamental flowers and motifs combined with lights, water, music, and movement. These monuments are beautiful and malleable, and some of them are more than five metres high. They hold a large number of flowers and carnations, which fill the streets of the town with a special fragrance. The festivity also has other entertaining and cultural acts.
