Castellón in photos: astonishing nature areas
Wanting to share landscape shots on your social media is a great excuse to explore spectacular nature areas. We’re going to start underground at the incredible Sant Josep Cave (also known as La Font Cave) in La Vall d’Uixó.
Alternatively, you can run away to La Tinença de Benifassà Natural Park where the mountains, box forests and places like Portell de l’Infern will leave you lost for words. In El Penyagolosa Natural Park we’d recommend doing some walking, following trails like the one that leads to Sant Joan de Penyagolosa Sanctuary. With a bit of luck, some wildlife might just cross your path, making a great shot for your Castellón in photos collection.
The landscapes of El Desert de les Palmes Natural Park will blow you away, particularly if you make the fantastic convent the focal point of your picture. And then there are the cork trees populating the beautiful mountainscape of Sierra de Espadán. Next up on your Castellón in photos tour is Salto de la Novia in Navajas or Alcudia de Veo. This small municipality is home to the majestic Órganos de Benitandús and the abandoned village of El Jinquer, which has been overrun by nature.
