Onda Castle is another one for your list, as is Villahermosa del Río and Peñíscola, an incredible destination with an historic-artistic centre replete with spots that will get you reaching for your camera. 

Castellón in photos: the beauty of the Mediterranean coast 

Our exploration of Castellón in photos has led us to the coast where you’ll be astonished by the wild coves created by the foothills of Sierra de Irta Natural Park in Alcalà de Xivert/Alcossebre. In Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Natural Park, a beautiful coastal wetland, you’ll capture plenty of birds on camera. 

Lastly, we’d recommend travelling across the waters to Columbretes Islands Nature Reserve, a magnificent spot that glistens in the splendour of the Mediterranean.
