La Inmaculada Concepción Parish Church is a Renaissance 16th-century landmark in Anna that has undergone significant transformations over the centuries. The basilica layout features side chapels and an impressive barrel vault that reflects the grandeur of the Baroque period. The 18th-century mural paintings that decorate the ceiling in gold are especially noteworthy.
The main altar, constructed in 1702, is dominated by a painting of the Immaculate Conception, the patron saint of Anna. Inside the church, you'll find an impressive collection of carved wooden altarpieces. Additionally, the tabernacle houses a valuable painting from the school of Ribera, a true treasure for lovers of sacred art.
La Inmaculada Concepción Parish Church in Anna, Valencia, has undergone significant renovations, particularly after the devastating earthquake of 1748, which left a lasting mark on its history. From one end of the church to the other, you can see the contrast between the original Islamic layout and the later Christian architectural additions.
