Witness the Representación de la Pasión de Cristo, Alfondeguilla’s Passion Play. This dramatic performance turns this picturesque village in the Sierra de Espadán, Castellón, into a stage for momentous religious moments from Jerusalem.

Taking place on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, the event transforms Alfondeguilla’s streets with flickering torchlight and the dedication of a passionate theatre group. The play brings key moments of the Passion to life, including Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, the trial before the Sanhedrin, Judas’ betrayal, the Last Supper, the washing of the feet and the crucifixion and death of Christ.
