El Arenal Beach in Jávea is perfect for children's swimming thanks to its clean, shallow waters. Organise a day out for the whole family and enjoy this great beach.

El Arenal Beach is located in Jávea, right in the centre of the bay, and is a great tourist draw for the town. It is the beach most frequented by bathers as its location as a city beach makes it easy to access. Furthermore, it is surrounded by a wide range of leisure and restaurant facilities.

El Arenal Beach is 480 metres long and is the only sandy beach in the whole of Jávea. Its sand, by the way, is quite coarse. It boasts a blue flag certifying its excellent environmental quality and good water conditions. From Easter onwards, El Arenal Beach has a lifeguard service provided by the Red Cross. There are several surveillance towers from which the lifeguards ensure that every stretch of water is under observation.

This is the only beach in the municipality that has an assisted bathing service for people with reduced mobility or functional diversity. You will find it at the southern end. There is also a health centre just one street back from the beach, on Avenida París. It is only open at Easter and during the summer to attend to the needs of tourists during the busiest times of the year.

A promenade hugs the beach, while a leisure and shopping complex has been built around it. This functions as Jávea's community centre all year round, but especially during summer. Summer in Jávea is lively, overflowing with music, partying and good cheer, and the area around El Arena Beach is the most fun of all.
