Agritourism in Castellón
Our exploration of agritourism experiences in the Region of Valencia starts in the province of Castellón. Here you’ll find different cheeses as well as artichokes and citrus fruit, which in addition to discovering, you can taste and savour. From farms, country houses and traditional agricultural land to fields and artisanal factories, the province of Castellón will treat you to a bucolic experience you’ll never forget.
“A day in nature. Make your own cheese” will bring you into contact with the essence of the Region of Valencia at a cheesemaking farm where you will make your very own fresh cheese. Agritourism in Valencia
Our exploration continues in the province of Valencia, a land of rice, tiger nuts and oranges. High quality produce is grown here in stunningly beautiful traditional agricultural areas and then used to create dishes and products that are renowned around the world, such as paella and horchata.
If you’re interested in finding out how this drink is made, is the day out you’re looking for. The activity will immerse you in the world of the tiger nut and show you how it is used to make horchata. You will, of course, also have the opportunity to taste the delicious sweet drink. If, instead, you’re more about citrus fruits, you can visit Huerto Ribera in Carcaixent where you will learn everything there is to know about the history of the famous Valencian orange as well as taste artisanal products. And staying on the drinks theme, “Gènesis Tourism & Beer” will take you on a discovery of the aromas of different craft beers.
Agritourism in Alicante
Alicante and the Costa Blanca is a land of gastronomy whose flavours, aromas and textures seduce everyone who visits. If you’d like to discover what the fuss is all about, we’d recommend living the gastronomy through unique and original activities. For example, by tasting the flavours of the Elche countryside, including olive oils, wines and other produce grown in the Elche huerta or agricultural land.
If you love visiting agricultural land, you can also head to Andreu’s huerta in Dénia to enjoy a tasting of tomatoes, courgettes, melons, grapes, beetroot and more at “Degustación tomaca de la terra”. The experience will also treat you to incredible vistas over the impressive rock face of Montgó natural park; the perfect end to the perfect day.
