What to see in La Llosa

Start your explorations in the centre to wander narrow streets lined with traditional façades whose layout hasn’t changed in years. Your first stop has to be El Salvador Parish Church, a 17th-century place of worship flaunting a combination of styles, including Gothic and Baroque elements. Lap up the glorious sunlight that defines La Llosa. 

Once you’ve visited the centre, we’d recommend venturing a little further afield to spend a day at La Llosa Beach. This sandy and pebbly stretch of the coastline has peaceful waters and an area populated with vegetation. Follow a wooden boardwalk to the sea. La Llosa also has inland landscapes, which you can explore by walking lovely trails. 

You simply have to visit La Fonteta, in Carcau nature area, next to which you’ll find the ruins of an old mill. This is a great spot for a day out with the kids as it has been turned into a park complete with incredible places to cook up a paella al fresco. Alternatively, make your way to Font Redona, a natural spring area much beloved among the locals. 

Nestled between La Llosa and Chilches is Els Pouets, a wetland created by what are known as ullals, natural springs, where you can visit the marshland, the perfect place for a day of birding and photographing landscapes full of aquatic plants. Come to La Llosa and fall in love with all of its charms. Once you’ve been once, you’re sure to be back again.
