Alicante in photos: inland beauty
Let’s start our photography expedition in Alicante by visiting Alcoy, a town defined by its magnificent Art Nouveau buildings alongside stunning cliff faces. Banyeres de Mariola, the highest town in the municipality, has plenty of places waiting to be caught on camera. And you can’t miss visiting El Castell de Guadalest, hands down one of the prettiest villages in Spain. Nestled in the rock face on top of which stands an old castle with views over the reservoir; around every corner, you’ll find a site more beautiful than the next.
While exploring the inland towns and villages of Alicante, we‘ve got to include some of the castles in the area, such as that of Sax, Villena, Biar and Novelda. And we can’t forget about Orihuela, an incredible town that serves as the perfect canvas for capturing the essence of Alicante on film, with unforgettable sites at every step.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Wander down the winding streets of small towns such as Famorca, or delve into traditional Valencian culture and visit the old riuraus buildings in La Marina Alta. It’s impossible to list every site to visit!
