Autumn is a wonderful time of year to explore the extraordinary landscapes of the Mediterranean coastline in the Region of Valencia. In this post, we take a look at the coastline, province by province.

Autumn is no exception; the perfect time of the year to enjoy lazy strolls along the waterline, try your hand at thrilling water sports and see another side of the Mediterranean. Blessed with wonderful weather and a serene atmosphere, in the Region of Valencia the beach is nothing but pure joy 365 days a year.

Costa de Azahar
The coastline of Castellón offers everything you could possibly want, from fine sandy beaches, unspoilt little coves, landscapes where the sea merges with the mountain and sandy expanses that extend as far as the eye can see. Most of the beaches in Castellón boast the Blue Flag, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education, for their pristine waters and quality services.
One of the gems of the Castellón coastline is Columbretes Islands Nature Reserve, comprising a number of volcanic islets. The beauty of the islands will seduce you, particularly if you love scuba diving.
Costa valenciana
The coastline of Valencia is a joy to explore in autumn. Mile after mile of soft golden sand await where you can unwind, take a stroll, ride your bike, gaze at the horizon and - why not? - jump in.
Cullera, Oliva, Sagunto, Tavernes de la Valldigna, Alboraya, Gandia and La Pobla de Farnals are just some of the places where you can soak up long sunny days or enjoy snorkelling and paddle surfing. Don’t forget your swimsuit: it may be autumn, but the weather in the Region of Valencia is pleasant all year round so you can still enjoy taking a dip in the crystalline waters in November.
Costa Blanca
The province of Alicante boasts one of the most popular stretches of coastline in the world. The beaches of the Costa Blanca are nothing short of extraordinary with stunning coves nestled among the wildest landscapes, endless golden sandy beaches, enveloping dunes, sheer cliffs and sea beds where snorkelling lovers’ dreams will come true.
