What to do in Oropesa del Mar on a weekend: day 1

To start your tour, we suggest you go to the Castle and Walls of Oropesa del Mar and admire its walls full of history. The views will also be spectacular! Next, you can visit the Church of Nuestra Señora la Virgen de la Paciencia, which houses an image from the 16th century, and the Parish Church of San Jaime Apóstol.

Afterwards, you can visit the Museum of Oropesa del Mar, a place where you can learn how life in this corner of the Mediterranean has evolved over the centuries. And then we will reach the seashore! Our route to discover what to do in Oropesa del Mar has to include a stop at the 15th-century Torre del Rey, located next to the lighthouse.

From here you can stroll to the Concha Beach, el Retor cove and Orpesa la Vella cove, ending your day by the marina, where you can probably sign up for a water sports activity.

What to do in Oropesa del Mar on a weekend: day 2

Our second day enjoying everything there is to see in Oropesa del Mar is going to be unforgettable. And you will carry out your plans on foot or by bike, as you prefer! To begin with, we will take the Vía Verde del Mar from the town centre.

This old railway line will take us to the Torre de la Cordà, dating from the 16th century and surrounded by an incredible landscape, through which the beautiful route winds its way, and which is accessible to wheelchairs. This is an area of natural and wild beauty, with coves and beaches that are very photogenic!

On this route, which is perfect even for children, you will see tunnels, bridges, deep trenches, and the evocative Torre Colomera! If you decide to finish this route, which is only 5.7 km long, you will have reached Benicasim. Are you starting to plan your getaway?
