Bodegas Mendoza, wine experiences and great scenery in L'Alfàs del Pi

Bodegas Mendoza, whose premises are divided between L’Alfàs del Pi and Villena in the province of Alicante, is home to highly prestigious wine making. The native Monastrell grape plays a major role, and has without doubt spurred on the tradition of wine in the region, which began during the Iberian era.

In terms of wine tourism experiences, Bodegas Mendoza offers you a “Gold” visit, which includes a full exploration of the experimental pruning field, stopping off at the bottling room and the underground cellar. Afterwards, a wine expert will lead you through a tasting of no fewer than seven wines, which also includes a pairing session of extra virgin olive oils with cheese, sausages and chocolate. 

The tour you will take as part of the “Cata de Barricas” experience is similar, but you’ll be able to taste the wine in the underground cellar with vintages poured straight from the barrel: a new experience that you’re sure to love. Naturally, you will be accompanied by a wine expert who will answer your questions and tell you interesting stories about wine.
