On the southern side of Alicante, Saladar beach is a long stretch of fine sand backed by dunes, with a seafront promenade overlooking the Mediterranean.

Saladar beach, in the municipality of Alicante, is a broad semi-urban stretch of coast where you can spend the day soaking up the sun between dips in the sea.

Also known as Urbanova beach, it runs alongside a delicate ecosystem of dunes and salt marshes with considerable environmental value, giving the whole area a more open, natural feel.

What services and scenery can you expect at Saladar beach in Alicante?

With more than 1,600 metres of fine golden sand, there’s room to sunbathe, take a long walk or simply drink in the vistas of the Mediterranean towards the bay. The seafront promenade is lined with terraces and restaurants, so once you’ve been for a swim, local food is never far away.

During the summer months, there is also an adapted section for assisted bathing, while a naturist area can be found towards the southern end of the beach. With its calmer atmosphere and full range of services, Saladar beach is one of the province of Alicante’s most worthwhile places to seek out.
