What to do in Algorfa

The streets of Algorfa exude traditional charm, reflecting its agricultural roots with its pretty low-rise houses and patchwork fields. Once you’ve taken a stroll to soak it all in, head out of the village centre to El Marqués de Algorfa Chapel, located only a kilometre away. The neoclassical-style temple was built in the early 20th century. Beside it, you'll find an elegant little palace and an old oil mill which form a historic site owned by the municipality.

Visitors like to play golf in Algorfa at one of the province’s most exceptional golf courses. Swept up in beautiful scenery dotted with lakes, the site is a place of pure relaxation. What’s more, Algorfa is just half an hour from the beaches of Torrevieja, making it the perfect destination for a golf trip by the sea.

Algorfa is also home to the Caldera del Gigante route, a hiking trail across La Vega Baja that passes through Almoradí, Rojales and Benejúzar. You’ll come across impressive geological formations as you walk along the 17-kilometre route, which weaves through beautiful natural areas such as El Hoyo Serrano and Barranco del Calderón.

Do you want to explore this magical corner of Alicante? Algorfa’s laid-back feel and idyllic countryside will conquer your heart.
