LITERARY AWARDS 25 D’ABRIL AND PAINTING CONTEST SALVADOR SORIA VILA DE BENISSA 2025

8:00 PM. Award ceremony for the Literary Awards 25 d’Abril and the Painting Contest S. Soria Vila de Benissa 2025 at the Centre d’Art Taller d’Ivars.

9:00 PM. Opening of the S. Soria Vila de Benissa 2025 Painting Contest exhibition at the Centre d’Art Taller d’Ivars.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12

DAY OF THE PREGÓN

8:00 AM. Parade of festers and festers accompanied by dolçaina and tabal from the Colla El Riberer and the music bands of the Associació Musical de Xaló, AAMM Real de Gandia, AM Festival Xaló, and the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa.

7:00 PM. Evening Mass.

8:00 PM. Official Opening of the Festivals in the Basilica, presented by Paquita Vidal, Lola Escrivà, Maria Noguera, Ana Maria Morales, Ana Maria Sala, and Ana Ausina, the Buñoleras.

Afterward, singing of the Hymn to the Puríssima Xiqueta and the Benissa Anthem, accompanied by the band of the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa and the Coral Benissenca.

11:45 PM. Firecracker to mark the start of the 2025 Festivals from the Benissa Town Hall.

12:15 AM. Performance by the orchestra La Pato at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade.

THURSDAY, APRIL 24

10:30 PM. Parade of festers and festers to visit the decorated streets, accompanied by the L’Espardenya band.

FRIDAY, APRIL 25

DAY OF THE CORONATION

8:00 PM. Parade of festers and festers accompanied by the Colla de Xirimiters Pere Bigot and the music bands of the Associació Musical de Xaló, AAMM Real de Gandia, AM Festival Xaló, and the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa.

9:45 PM. Gathering of authorities and festival representatives from neighboring towns at the Portal Square.

10:30 PM. Coronation ceremony of the Child Queen, Martina Buigues Morales, presented by Naiara Fuertes, Marc Pérez, and Elena Sampedro, and the Major Queen, Gala Ortolà Ferrer, presented by Pepa Naharro and Patricia Rodríguez, at the Dolores Piera promenade.

After the Coronation, the celebration continues with the magnificent orchestra La Tribu at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade.

DAY OF THE OFFERING

8:30 AM. Discovery and Sabatina in honor of our patroness, the Puríssima Xiqueta.

11:00 AM. Children’s park at the Dolores Piera promenade.

1:00 PM. Entrance of the murta with the collaboration of the Associació de Cavallistes i Carreters, accompanied by the Colla El Riberer and the band of the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa.

6:00 PM. Gathering at the Convent Square for participants in the flower offering, starting the parade towards the Basilica, accompanied by the L’Esbart Dansaire dance group, which will perform during the route, and the Colla de Xirimiters Pere Bigot.

6:00 PM. Parade of festers and festers accompanied by the Colla El Riberer and the music bands of the Associació Musical de Xaló, Centre Artístic Musical Xàbia, AM Festival Xaló, and the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa.

6:30 PM. Evening Mass and ringing of bells.

7:00 PM. Flower offering to the Puríssima Xiqueta at the main façade of the Basilica. Afterward, the imposition of medals to festers inside the Basilica.

10:00 PM. Performance by the musical duo Hey You at the Dolores Piera promenade.

12:00 AM. Night “Mascletada” by the Pirotècnia Vulcano at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. We ask the public to follow the safety instructions to avoid incidents.

Afterward, performance by the La Montecarlo orchestra at the Dolores Piera promenade. Following that, a spectacular performance by DJ Javi Boss, sponsored by Perfiles Pleck.

To end the night, performance by DJ Pepe Castellanos.

SUNDAY, APRIL 27

DAY OF THE PURÍSSIMA

8:00 AM. Wake-up, general ringing of bells, and parade by the music bands.

9:30 AM. Eucharist.

10:00 AM. Parade of festers, festers, clavariesas, and mayorales, accompanied by the Colla de Xirimiters Pere Bigot and the music bands of the Associació Musical de Xaló, Centre Artístic Musical Xàbia, AM Festival Xaló, and the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa.

11:30 AM. Solemn Mass and sermon in honor of the Puríssima Xiqueta, celebrated by the Most Reverend and Right Reverend Sr. Auxiliary Bishop of Valencia, D. Fernando Ramos Casas. The mass will be sung by the Coral Benissenca, accompanied by the organist.

After the mass, visit to the San Joaquín and Santa Ana Nursing Home.

2:00 PM. “Mascletada” by the Pirotècnia Vulcano at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. We ask the public to follow the safety instructions to avoid incidents.

7:00 PM. Prayed Mass and lowering of the patroness image, accompanied by the organist. Afterward, Solemn Procession in honor of the Puríssima Xiqueta, with the shooting of 21 salvos of honor as the patroness image enters and exits the Basilica, and her image is raised to her shrine.

Afterward, fabulous pyrodigital show “Vulcania” by the Pirotècnia Vulcano at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. We ask the public to follow the safety instructions to avoid incidents.

12:30 AM. Musical “La fuerza del destino. Tribute show to Mecano”, with 16 artists from the Nacho Cano musical, at the Dolores Piera promenade.

Afterward, performance by DJ Jairo Ginestar.

MONDAY, APRIL 28

DAY OF THE RIBERER

8:00 AM. Wake-up, general ringing of bells, and parade by the music bands.

10:00 AM. Parade of festers, festers, clavariesas, and mayorales, accompanied by the Colla El Riberer and the music bands of the Associació Musical de Xaló, AAMM Real de Gandia, AM Festival Xaló, and the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa.

11:30 AM. Solemn Mass and sermon in honor of the Puríssima Xiqueta, celebrated by the Honorable Sr. D. Juan Pons, rector of the Metropolitan Seminary of Valencia. The mass will be sung by the Coral Benissenca, accompanied by the organist.

1:00 PM. Flower offering to the Monument to the Riberer and homage to the ribereros José Roselló Vidal “Pepe” and José Llopis Crespo. Speech by the festera María Esquerdo Cabrera.

2:00 PM. Mascletada by the Pirotècnia Vulcano at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. We ask the public to follow the safety instructions to avoid incidents.

6:30 PM. Parade of floats accompanied by the L’Espardenya band, the Colla El Riberer, and an itinerant musical show.

Afterward, awards for the best-decorated streets.

Next, children’s show “La Fábrica de Chocolate” for the little ones at the Dolores Piera promenade.

12:00 AM. Traditional singing of the Salve to the Puríssima Xiqueta at the old house of Joan Vives, on Puríssima Street, accompanied by the band of the Societat Lírica i Musical de Benissa, under the direction of Maestro Miguel Ángel Grau Martínez.

Afterward, the launch of the kilometer-long firecracker.

12:30 AM. Big nighttime mascletada by the Pirotècnia Vulcano at the Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. Afterward, performance by the La Mónaco orchestra.

During the orchestra’s break, the handover of the mayor’s staff of Benissa, Arturo Poquet Ribes, to the Alcalde dels Fadrins 2025, Àlvaro Ibañez Mayor.

DÍA DELS FADRINS

1:00 PM: Paella competition with music by the l’Espardenya charanga, at Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. Prizes for the top three winners.

4:30 PM: Music and dancing at the San Joaquín and Santa Ana Nursing Home, with entertainment by Francisco Escoda.

5:00 PM: Humorous parade with public participation and music by the l’Espardenya charanga and the Colla Pere Bigot. The meeting point will be at the intersection of Bilbao and Sant Josep streets at 4:30 PM. Afterward, prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, followed by a large chocolate distribution by the A.A.C.C. of Benissa at Dolores Piera promenade.

6:00 PM: “Tardeo” with the orchestra La Matrix at Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade.

10:30 PM: Young Night at Dolores Piera promenade with performances by Abril, who will present her new album Instruccions per estimar una cirera, followed by performances by The Tyets, Jean Jass, and DJ Javi Mas.

11:00 PM: Entrance of cows from Benavent cattle ranch. Afterwards, release of cows and bull by the Machancoses cattle ranch.

2:00 PM: Giant paella at Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade, sponsored by Supermercado Casa Boira and Supermercado Coca, with music by the l’Espardenya charanga.

5:00 PM: Dance party with the La Fiesta orchestra at Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. Afterward, fabulous macro disco by Fi-lantrophic.

6:00 PM: Music and dance at the Bèrnia Social Center, with entertainment by Francisco Escoda, and a chocolate and muffin distribution.

7:00 PM to 10:00 PM: Release of cows and bull by La Paloma cattle ranch.

11:30 AM: Solemn mass and sermon in honor of the Puríssima Xiqueta, presided by our Basilica’s priest, Don Salvador Cebolla i Marra- des, with singing by the Parish Choir. After the mass, a parade of clavariesas and mayorales with music bands.

2:00 PM: Mascletada by Pirotecnia Vulcano at Joaquín Piera and Mariana Torres promenade. We ask the public to follow the safety instructions to avoid incidents.

8:00 PM: Fabulous end of the festival with the Queen Tribute concert at Dolores Piera promenade.
