Dedicated to Santíssima Sang, Dénia’s big annual festival is a jam-packed programme of events. The highlight of the festivities is 'Bous a la Mar', a traditional bull event that sees bulls and young cows forced to jump into the Mediterranean Sea alongside participants, in a show that has been listed an event of National Tourist Interest. Other events include the float parade, which you won’t want to miss, firework displays, charangas - bands organised by young men and women who have turned 18 - traditional dances and paella contests. Don’t miss it.
