Yacimiento de Cabezo Redondo, The Cabezo Redondo archaeological site in Villena, in Alicante province, takes us back 3500 years to rediscover a Bronze Age settlement.

It was located next to a lagoon, which has now disappeared. This was the source of prosperity of this settlement rich in resources.

Part of the value of the Cabezo Redondo site - among the Valencian Community's most important - is that its remains have allowed us to conclude that it adhered to one of our earliest urban plans.

Discoveries such as housing in ordered blocks, architectural remains and ornamentation have been turned up at Cabezo Redondo, and even personal objects and jewellery!

This is one of the must-see sights in Villena, so we recommend you always book before you visit. The guided tours are fascinating!
