Granadella cove is one of Jávea’s best kept secrets. Come and spend time at this wild and beautiful stretch of the coast.

Granadella is a small cove that extends for just 160m along the southernmost edge of Jávea. To get there, follow Carretera Cabo de la Nao which connects with Carretera de la Granadella, which will lead you to the cove. Nearby there is a viewing point and a hiking trail (starting at the carpark) to Granadella castle, which is well worth walking to.

La Granadella is a beautiful beach with clear turquoise waters that are ideal for diving. The sandy, rocky and pebbly cove is a wild stretch of the coast. Though it’s not as easy to get to as the other beaches in Jávea, it’s a popular choice, drawing in scores of locals and visitors wishing to spend time on this spectacular stretch of the Mediterranean.

Visitors can enjoy a full set of services at the beach. There are lifeguards all summer, keeping swimmers safe in the morning and afternoon. You can also enjoy all sorts of water sports at La Granadella, which is the perfect spot to do some exercise in and on the water. If you enjoy snorkelling and diving, you simply have to get into the waters to explore the seabed. Water skiing, canoeing and kayaking are other popular activities.

Cars are limited in the summer months – July and August – in a bid to control capacity. You’ll have to get up early if you want to secure your spot for the day. But it will absolutely be worth it.
