Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero, Hortensia Herrero Art Centre, known as CAHH for short, is part of València’s extensive cultural scene. The quality collection is housed in the astonishing surrounds of Los Valeriola Palace. 

Hortensia Herrero Art Centre boasts not only a wonderful selection of work to gaze at, but also a fully and beautifully restored palace to look around. This handsome building is located in València’s historic centre on lovely Calle del Mar. We’d recommend putting it on your itinerary for the city. 

Constructed in the 17th century, the palace flaunts the Valencian Baroque style. Inside, remains of the Roman circus and the Jewish district have been found, creating a spectacular contrast with the contemporary works of art. You also won’t be able to help noticing the atmosphere, which is always great here. 

Presently, CAHH displays works of internationally renowned artists of the likes of Andreas Gursky, Anish Kapoor, Sean Scully, Blanca Muñoz, El Anatsui, Roy Lichtenstein, Tomás Saraceno, David Hockney, David Rodríguez Caballero, Peter Halley, Olafur Eliasson, Ann Veronica Janssens, Rashid Johnson, Antoni Tàpies, Jaume Plensa, Cristina Iglesias, Joan Miró and Alexander Calder.

The collection counts over 100 works by 50 incredible artists. The centre is wheelchair-accessible and has multimedia and interactive rooms that will engage your senses beyond sight.
