The Christmas markets in the Region of Valencia are the most festive way of discovering local gastronomy, traditions and destinations that are bursting with things to see and do. Christmas markets in the province of Castellón
Nestled in the heart of Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, Azuébar is hosting an excellent Christmas market with delicious local products on sale - like quintessentially festive sweet treats and traditional liqueurs - and activities for all ages. Alcalà de Xivert/Alcossebre has already got its Christmas Fair up and running where you can indulge in festive treats and sip on traditional liqueurs. Peñíscola also has a Christmas market on until the 17 December, which is an excellent opportunity to explore this wonderful destination and the castle.
Though there are many more Christmas markets on up and down the province of Castellón, we’re going to round this list off with those taking place in Benicasim and Castelló de la Plana. You’re going to love them all.
Christmas markets in the province of Valencia
The province of Valencia has its fair share of opportunities to visit Christmas fairs and crafts markets, and Náquera’s Christmas Market is a good example. Here you can get your hands on some interesting gifts or get your little ones involved in the Christmas craft workshop. Requena’s Christmas Fair will showcase fine artisanship and you can make the most of your visit to purchase a bottle of delicious cava to ring in the New Year.
València city has got plenty of Christmas markets, namely in Plaza de la Reina, Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, around calle de la Tapinería, in El Cabanyal district, Colón Market and more. There are so many, we’re sure to have missed some off our list.
Christmas markets in the province of Alicante
In the province of Alicante, make your way to Jijona, the birthplace of nougat, followed by La Nucia, Jávea and Altea where you will find all sorts of incredible artisanship in the Christmas markets. In these three destinations you’ll find beautiful hand-made products and meet great artisans.
Last on this list (though far from last in real life) is the Christmas market in Benidorm, which has excellent things to get up to during the holidays. The breadth and depth of the Region of Valencia is peppered with Christmas markets.
