Onda fully transforms in October with a patron saint festival and fair that offers up something for everyone. Discover everything you can get up to and start planning your trip.
Taking place from the 5 to the 27 October, Fira d’Onda 2024 is set to transform this part of the province of Castellón with its contagious atmosphere. How would you fancy coming to spend some time in Onda to explore the castle and soak up all the music and animation that will fill the streets?
Fira d’Onda celebrates the patron saints of the town, namely Santísimo Salvador, Virgen de la Esperanza and San Roque, in a festivity that combines religious and leisure events and activities. The streets will be a lively place to be for a couple of weeks.
The Fira d’Onda programme features a procession, called Domingo de Feria, which will get your emotions going thanks to the locals that sing for Santísimo Salvador. This beautiful event is held at Plaza del Raval: don’t miss it.
Live music is another highlight of the event. This year’s Fira d’Onda line-up is sure to give music lovers plenty to be pleased about. On the 25 October, there will be a performance by Coque Malla, supported by Los Zigarros, giving you the opportunity to sing along to your favourite tunes. Then on the 26, Ana Mena’s Bellodrama tour is coming to the town.
Last but by no means least, there will also be encierros (burials) and bull events, offering something for everyone. Our tip is to plan a getaway that gives you the opportunity to explore Onda and join in with everything there is on offer at Fira d’Onda.
If you love getting active in the great outdoors, Sichar Reservoir is a wonderful place to embark on an adventure. How about starting the day with a paddle in a kayak? Or pulling on your boots and setting off for a walk along a beautiful hiking trail? Fira d’Onda is the perfect excuse to fall in love with an amazing destination with plenty to see and do.
