The gardens in the Region of Valencia are great places to do some nature tourism, whether that be in the form of walking trails or exploring urban destinations. The gardens are also ideal for taking a break during a family getaway. We’ve put together a list of some of the very many gardens there are in our destination. Come and spend some time strolling around, enjoying the cooler temperatures and the opportunity to unwind.
Gardens in the province of Castellón
In Castelló de la Plana, we recommend visiting El Pinar Park, which is located in El Grao district. This is a vast green space where you can enjoy facilities like a mini golf course, pond, pool and more. During your time in the city, you can also make your way to Ribalta Park, Rafalena Park and Los Naranjos Gardens.
Oropesa del Mar is home to Les Amplaries Garden while La Pobla de Benifassà has a very special and almost magical space: Peter Garden. Last on this list, though certainly not the last in the province, is Nules Botanical Garden, which we recommend visiting.
Gardens in the province of Valencia
The list of gardens in the Region of Valencia located in València city is an extensive one. To name but a few, we will start with the incredible El Turia Garden, which is located in the old riverbed, has plenty of surprises and a great atmosphere. Next up is Monforte Gardens, which are an oasis of peace and quiet and just a stone’s throw from El Real-Viveros Gardens. And then there is the valuable Universidad de València Botanical Garden.
In Torrent you can explore the magnificent Trénor Garden and in Anna a huge hedge maze which promises a great time. Combine the maze with the destination’s beautiful lake and you’ll have a unique getaway. Last but by no means least, we invite you to visit El Palasiet Garden in Xàtiva as well as the many other gardens in the province.
Gardens in the province of Alicante
Our exploration of the gardens in the Region of Valencia is now in the province of Alicante. In Elche, you can visit the beautiful Huerto del Cura, a National Artistic Garden in the historic Palmeral. In L’Alfàs del Pi, you won’t want to miss the Klein-Schreuder Sculpture Garden and in Pedreguer you simply have to see L’Albarda Garden. And then in Mutxamel, you’re going to love exploring the Peñacerrada Gardens.
The Casa Tápena maze in Onil and the Torretes Biological Station and Botanical Garden in Ibi are next on the list, which we will conclude – well aware that we’re missing plenty out – with La Glorieta in Alcoy and the beautiful Santos Garden in Penàguila. So how about it? Include the gardens of the Region of Valencia on your explorations of our towns, villages and cities.
