Fiesta de San Pedro Mártir, San Pedro Mártir Festival, takes place on the 29 April in the town of Alcudia de Veo in Castellón. The festival is one of Alcudia de Veo’s biggest annual events, promising wholesome traditions, a dive into the town’s history and a chance to sample the local cuisine.

San Pedro Mártir Festival brings together locals and visitors around San Pedro fountain, where there is a procession and a ceremonial blessing of the fountain water. What’s more, during the festivities in Alcudia de Veo, locals prepare homemade sweet delicacies such as rollos, which are washed down with a glass of aniseed liqueur. This is given out to all festival-goers, along with bread, cheese and wine. Get swept up in the local customs and soak up the cheerful atmosphere.
