On the northern Borriana coast you have Malvarrosa-Grao beach, which is an extension of L'Arenal Beach northwards. There is a breakwater on this part of the Borriana shore that divides the beach into two: the southern part has sand while the more northerly side contains sea-rounded pebbles.
Malvarrosa-Grao is just over a kilometre long and about 70 metres wide on average. It is close to Borriana's urban centre so you can stop at a good restaurant to eat or browse its shops in search of souvenirs.
It is a perfect beach for spending a quiet, peaceful afternoon gazing at the sea. Its water quality is confirmed by several certificates, such as the Q for Tourist Quality awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
Malvarrosa-Grao has many services and facilities for bathers who come to enjoy the beach. It has several access walkways, toilets, a lifeguard service during summer, lifeguard towers and is accessible for people with reduced mobility. It is a comfortable beach with a family atmosphere, perfect for taking the kids.
In Borriana you have another beach that you should also explore: l'Arenal. It is located just south of Malvarrosa-Grao and has the most bathers.
