What to do in Fuentes de Ayódar
One of the best known places in Fuentes de Ayódar, in Castellón, is its Pozo Negro. The Pozo Negro in Fuentes de Ayódar is a deep natural pool that becomes a bathing area when the good weather arrives. Nestled in the middle of nature, its waters are transparent and a little cold! It is best to put your foot in before diving in to test the temperature.
El Pozo Negro is located next to the Fuente del Zuro, perfect for organising a hiking route in Fuentes de Ayódar. From the Fuente del Zuro you can trail in the opposite direction from the Chico river. This path will show you the variety and beauty of the local nature.
There are many more natural springs in the town, hence the name! The Fuente del Río, the Fuente de la Paciencia or the Fuente del Cañar are good examples. If you visit the latter you will find a recreational area with picnic areas perfect for taking the children.
