What to do in La Pobla Tornesa
We’d recommend starting your exploration in La Pobla Tornesa’s historic centre where you can take a stroll along the traditional streets and soak up the rural atmosphere. Before too long you will find yourself standing in front of the old town hall, Casa de la Cultura and San Miguel Arcángel Parish Church. Built in the 18th century, this place of worship has interesting works of art such as the High Altar and other paintings, all of which are by Amat Bellés Roig.
La Pobla Tornesa is an historic place, as is proven in the old Iberian settlement of La Balaguera. We’d recommend hiking to it, enjoying the views along the way. The archaeological site has very few remains still standing, but it has great historic value and is strategically located on the top of a hill that affords lovely panoramic vistas.
