Step inside one of La Vall d'Uixó’s most significant monuments and join us on an architectural journey.

Iglesia Parroquial del Santo Ángel Custodio, Santo Ángel Custodio Parish Church, in La Vall d'Uixó, dates back to 1634 and is one of the town’s most iconic landmarks.

The church has a central nave and the side chapels are completed by ornate altars nestled between the buttresses. The frescoes that decorate the domes, the mural covering the high altar and the intricate relief art dotted around are all fine examples of Valencian religious art.

Above the main entrance of Santo Ángel Custodio Church is a curious alcove with a small, ornate window above it that lets in natural light, which adds to the ethereal feel of the place.

This church holds significant historical importance in La Vall d'Uixó. Therefore, if you find yourself in the area, maybe exploring the underground river of Sant Josep Cave, we recommend finding some time to visit this special place of worship and also go on a stroll around La Vall d'Uixó’s historic centre. The church’s striking blue-tiled dome is a real highlight. Fancy paying a visit to this part of Castellón?
