This parish church, constructed in honor of St. James, Patron Saint of the municipality, is the symbol of the religious devotion demonstrated by the citizens of Montanejos. It has a principal nave with side chapels honoring different saints. It has recently been restored; therefore, this parish church has a fine appearance which invites the visitor to come inside and to admire its high altar, which is an artistic element of special importance to the municipality.
