What to see in Vallat
A good place to start your explorations of Vallat is at San Juan Evangelista Parish Church, which dates back to the 18th century. Nearby there is a viewing point where you can take some fantastic photographs. Keep walking and before too long you’ll come across one of the most iconic spots in the destination, La Salud Fountain, which dates back to the first half of the 20th century. Next to the fountain is the pretty public washhouse, a structure that will get you reaching for your camera.
Vallat’s small centre is the perfect place for a stroll, but if you fancy venturing a little further afield you can head out into the surrounding landscapes. Water is a feature of many of the activities you can enjoy in Vallat as there are many pools and springs in the midst of nature. Bring your walking shoes with you and you’ll have the opportunity to follow a trail or two and breathe in the fresh air.
For example, you can set off to see La Roca del Molino pool, Vidal pool and Peña Negra pool as well as Ramírez and La Señora springs. Another must for your to-do list is Salto del Agua, a waterfall located next to a former electrical station. Make sure you get a photo.
The woodland surrounding Vallat and the riverscapes provided by the Mijares and Villahermosa Rivers make this a beautiful and cool destination. We highly recommend exploring the scenery. Fancy coming for a getaway in the midst of nature?
