Have you been to one of Vilafamés’s most significant archeological sites? The Iberian settlement of Estrets - Racó de la Rata dates back to the 3rd and 2nd century BC, giving us a glimpse into what it was like to live in this region more than two thousand years ago. Held in the embrace of verdant nature, surrounded by mountains, olive groves and almond trees, the air is pure here. Located on a hilltop 283 metres high, on the banks of Els Estrets, this prime spot looks across Pla de Vilafamés, which gave the Iberian people a great position of defence along with incredible views of the sweeping landscapes.
