Santuario de San Juan Bautista de Penyagolosa y Santa Bárbara, San Juan Bautista de Penyagolosa y Santa Bárbara Sanctuary, not far from Vistabella del Maestrat, is nestled in the stunning surroundings of a natural park. This Medieval sanctuary has been shaped by various expansions over time. Its design combines Baroque and Neoclassical architectural elements, reflecting the influences of different eras.

This sanctuary in Vistabella del Maestrat serves as the end point of the ancient pilgrimage of Les Useres. Every year, pilgrims from Culla, Chodos, Vistabella del Maestrat and other nearby villages make their way to this sacred site, a religious tradition that has its origins in the Middle Ages. Tucked away in a valley, San Juan Bautista de Penyagolosa y Santa Bárbara Sanctuary centres around a charming arcaded square. The complex includes several facilities such as lodging for pilgrims, a church with a bell tower and kitchens.
