Take a two-day family getaway to explore the Toy Valley, a unique place where childhood dreams come true. Discover everything there is to see and set the date.

Exploring the Toy Valley in Alicante is an excellent idea for a couple of days out with the kids. The experience will give you a chance to take a walk down memory lane, nostalgically remembering your childhood. In this two-day itinerary you will explore two destinations and two toy-themed museums that have got plenty of surprises up their sleeves. Are you ready for an unforgettable getaway that both you and the kids will love?

Day 1 in the Toy Valley: Ibi

The first day of your getaway in the Toy Valley in the province of Alicante will take you to Ibi, a town that is packed with heritage and history. We’d recommend starting your exploration with a walk through El Carrascal de la Font Roja Natural Park to discover the local natural landscapes. There are recreational areas in the park where you can take a rest and enjoy a picnic.

Next, make your way to Les Torretes Botanic Garden, an incredible place where your kids can learn all about the richness of the natural world. The Toy Valley also has the opportunity for science and learning.

And to round off your day in Ibi, Alicante, head to the Valencian Toy Museum in Ibi. The museum is one of the most visited in the Region of Valencia, doubtlessly because the collection will awaken your and your kids’ curiosity and steal your heart.

Day 2 in the Toy Valley: Onil

On the second part of your tour of the Toy Valley, head to Onil, Alicante, starting your day with a look around El Marqués de Dos Aguas Fortress-Palace and Santiago Church. The town’s historic centre will take you aback.

Another family-friendly destination is the Casa Tápena Maze. You’ll have all sorts of fun finding the way out of this labyrinth formed of cypress trees.

To conclude your tour of the Toy Valley, go to the Doll Museum where you are sure to experience a moving moment or two. Housed in a handsome manor house, the museum is home to some of the toys that have defined Spanish history. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to start planning your getaway and making unforgettable memories.
