Gandia is encircled by mountains and opens up towards the Mediterranean on the coast. It is the perfect destination if you’re looking to enjoy stunning landscapes, indulge in delicious food and soak up the history and culture the Region of Valencia has to offer.
So what is there to see in Gandia? If you choose to spend your holidays in the town, you should start by walking the streets of the historic centre, gazing at the sights, visiting the museums and being inspired by the historic and cultural marks left by the different civilisations that have lived here.
And then, of course, there are the beaches, which are a joy to explore 365 days a year. Blessed by amazing weather and a great location, Gandia beach extends for over five kilometres of fine sand that breathes peace and quiet while also promising a lot of fun. There is also a seafront promenade lined with wonderful bars and restaurants where you can try out the local cuisine.
If you’re in search of a natural and wild beach that will envelop you in a spectacular landscape, l’Ahuir beach is for you. Stretching for more than 3,000m, the beach is flanked with impressive dunes. This is also an authorised nudist beach.
And if, on the other hand, you head towards the south, you will get to Venecia beach. This fine sandy beach with gentle waves is perfect for long walks along the shore and sunbathing with a stunning view.
But if water sports and getting your adrenaline pumping are more your thing, Marenys beach is the place to be with its wide range of activities for lovers of windsurfing and kitesurfing.
