Alegría by Cirque du Soleil: Excitement Meets Magic in an Unforgettable Show

Alegría by Cirque du Soleil is a classic show that combines a number of performing arts disciplines in an unforgettable visual and musical adventure. The show is coming to Sant Joan Beach in Alicante on the 16 July: this is your excuse to come and visit the city and witness an incredible production. 

Having graced the biggest stages around the world for the past 25 years, Cirque du Soleil’s Alegría has been revamped, though the story that originally captivated audiences remains the same. As it awaits a new King, the kingdom finds itself in the grips of a fight between the new generations and the old order. A spectacle of trapezists, balancing acts, contortionists, musicians and singers bring the story to life.  

Fusing genres ranging from electro beats to rock sounds, the music in Alegría by Cirque du Soleil will accompany you as you’re fully immersed in an amazing visual world. The old King’s fool will accompany you throughout the story, which is also punctuated with other larger-than-life characters.

Alegría by Cirque du Soleil features mind-blowing numbers like a Samoan dance with fire batons and an aerial dance which accompanies the show’s theme tune. Another highlight of the production comes with the “aristocrats” number in which the performers make aerial somersaults on bars held by their companions. You’ll find your hands clapping themselves.
