La Finca El Corral is a great base to explore the province of Alicante. And there is no shortage of experiences for you to live in the area. The first trip we recommend is into the village of Llíber, which is just a 5-minute drive or 30-minute amble away through the vineyards. 

Llíber is a picture-postcard. Sitting close to the banks of the river Jálon, the village is nestled in a valley among the Bernia and Castell de la Solana mountains. It specialises in the production of Muscatel wine and nearby you can visit the riu-raus, structures where the grapes were traditionally dried to turn them into raisins. 

Xaló is also well worth a visit. The bustling antique market is the perfect place to rummage around and find vintage treasures. And when you’re done, you can try and then purchase some delicious vermut. 

Llíber and Xaló both offer some incredible walking. The hiking routes snake through beautiful landscapes that are steeped in history. And don’t forget. Finca El Corral is also close to the beach. Meaning that the Costa Blanca and all its beautiful coves - such as Granadella - are well within striking distance.
