Palacio de los Aguilar, Los Aguilar Palace, stands proudly in the heart of Alaquàs, a village in the province of Valencia. This 16th-century fortress traces its origins back to an earlier structure, which explains how its predominantly Renaissance architecture still bears traces of Gothic design. Fully restored, it's a truly spectacular site to step into.
Alaquàs’s castle-palace, also known as the Castillo de las Cuatro Torres, Four Tower Castle, showcases an extraordinary collection of Mudejar ceramics dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. On the ground floor of Los Aguilar Palace, you’ll find yourself in a beautiful ornate cloister that provides access to the old dungeon. Venture further to explore its three upper floors, where you’ll encounter fine examples of historical graffiti, and look up to admire the spectacular coffered ceilings - a real highlight.
Today, Los Aguilar Palace is used for Alaquà’s municipal spaces, but if you step inside, you can still experience its rich history.
