An Event of Regional Tourist Interest, Fiestas de la Cruz - La Cruz Festival in Bicorp - is held in May. The festivity is a great way to experience the locals' most beloved traditions in a municipality located in inland province of Valencia.

On the first weekend of May, the village comes to life amid a flock of colourful traditional clothing and bread rolls. You’re sure to be taken aback.

La Cruz Festival features all sorts of events including parades, mass, mascletaes (noisy firecracker displays), pilota valenciana matches, floats and processions. The most popular events, nevertheless, are the walk up to the cross and the handing out of blessed bread rolls. The Cross is located on a raised part of the outskirts of Bicorp; the participants climb up here with their baskets full of bread rolls which have previously been blessed. The rolls are subsequently hung outside the houses, as protection, where they will stay for the whole year.
