L'Ahuir beach is located on the northernmost tip of Gandia, next to neighbouring Xeraco. The 2km beach has a dune cordon defined by endemic vegetation, palm trees and fine sand. If you turn your head upwards, you will see Mondúver, a mountain overlooking the surrounding landscapes and providing beautiful views from the beach.
This is one of just a handful of virgin beaches in the Mediterranean. It benefits from the highest level of protection out there.
The dunes at L'Ahuir beach are well conserved, protected by wooden pathways to prevent visitors from disturbing the ecosystem. The walkway will lead you to the beach, enabling you to walk from Gandia and Xeraco.
L'Ahuir beach is an authorised nudist beach where you can enjoy being at one with nature. It is also a Playa sin Humos, an initiative that seeks to promote a smoking-free lifestyle and encourage people to make health-conscious decisions.
The beach has both lifeguards and police presence, keeping you safe throughout your day at the coast. So come along to this stretch of the coastline to enjoy the beach and soak up its natural beauty. Wander along this Gandia beach in the direction of Xeraco and before too long you’ll find yourself in the neighbouring municipality. And if you’re keen to experience naturism, feel free to do so. We’ll see you there.
