Feel firecrackers reverberate through your body and watch incredible sculptures burn to embers in Gandia this Fallas.

It’s time to start getting excited about Fallas! On the 15 March, Gandia’s streets will be decorated with fallas, the colourful sculptures the festival is named after, and there will be a number of traditional events: bautizo (baptism), mascletà (firecracker display) and parades. On the 17, you can take a guided tour of the fallas sculptures (Gandia en Falles) and enjoy the spectacle of another mascletà and Nit del Foc, an impressive fireworks display. On the 18, flowers are given as an offering at 5pm and there will be a number of live music performances. On the final day of the festivities, the 19, there will be a procession in honour of San José and the celebrations will come to a close with la Cremà, the burning of the fallas sculptures. There’s no better time to come and visit the popular seaside town.
