What to see in Godelleta

Godelleta historic centre is perched atop a hill and features a well-preserved old fortified Arabic tower which would have originally been part of a larger fortress. We recommend visiting San Pedro Apóstol Parish Church, a Neoclassical place of worship dating back to the 17th century. The old centre may be small but it is full of great landmarks!

Make sure you also check out the newly restored historic wash house in Godelleta and take a few photos of it. 

The town’s surroundings also offer plenty of things to do, such as walking along scenic country trails to soak up the local nature and history. Godelleta’s Optical Telegraph Tower is fewer than two kilometres from the centre, making a great end point for a gentle stroll. Located on a mound called Alto de la Torre (also known as Alto del Herrero), this old telecommunications building was in operation in the mid-19th century.

Another excursion in Godelleta is to Azud de la Presa in El Gallet Ravine. You’ll find yourself in gorgeous natural surroundings as you wander along a well-signposted hiking path. The Water Trail starts from the old centre, leading you out into the stunning verdant landscape that encircles this small town.
