Castillo de Macastre, Macastre Castle, is an Islamic fortress in Valencia situated on what was once a Bronze Age settlement. The place is steeped in history!

The Macastre Castle ruins are perched atop a hill that is home to various different historic remains. The location of Macastre Castle enables us to get an idea of how the site was linked to Turís castle and Buñol castle and reveals how strategically placed they were when first built.

There are various archaeological remains here, including those of the main tower, the ancient cistern and the outer edges of the construction, which infer what the original site would have looked like.
